Place to see - Poole Quay
With its array of shops, restaurants and public houses, there is always something going on in the Quay. You can grab a bag of fish and chips and just sit by the harbour people watching or see the amazing boats, just drifting by, or just dream of owning a Sunseeker super yacht., or take a boat trip around this magnificent habour or to Brownsea Island and see the red squirrels or visit the castle, used by the staff of John Lewis. Whatever your taste for food, there is an amazing array of restaurants and some of our fish restaurants especially have won numerous prizes and accolades for their individual cuisine.
The fifth Poole Harbour Boat Show will return in 2019, taking place from 7th till 9th June and featuring a marina of over 200 exhibitors and quayside stalls set to attract more than 20,000 visitors.
In association with Sunseeker, the award winning Poole Boat Show (Special Award for a New Event at the Dorset Tourism Awards and Tourism Promotion of the Year at the Sibbett Gregory Poole Tourism Awards) is a free event open to the public and exhibitors set to attend include Sunseeker, Fairline, Windy, Spinnaker Yachts, Quicksilver, Beneteau, Stingher Ribs, Bayliner, Sealine and Bavaria, to name just a few!
On the quayside there will be number of stalls from marine related businesses including insurance companies, marinas, chandlers, training schools and maintenance groups.
Other attractions include a significant presence of RNLI, Royal Navy and Border Force vessels. The RNLI, Border Force and Poole Harbour Commissioners will be putting on fascinating demonstrations which show what their work involves on a day-to-day basis.
In addition to everything nautical the event will also feature a range of family entertainment. Plus there will be ‘Sunseeker Sessions’ live music stage and two fireworks display!
